13/05/2011: Edy Reja: "No matter what, this is a good season"
email print
Edy Reja spoke to the press about the game against Genoa and spoke about the season Lazio had.

Reja  still feels bitter due to the many incidents that went against Lazio during the season: "The team feels penalized," said Reja. "There has been many incidents that affected us negatively and while it is true that sometimes we have to blame ourselves, those incidents did have a huge negative effect on our season." continued Reja.

Reja continued on the same matter: "We have all seen what happened. We as a team try not to think much about those incidents and focus on the games, and we cannot deny that the players gave their all. I also think I did a good job, yes we achieved important things compared to last season, yet we are still missing something. But one cannot deny that the team did well, not to mention that they have grown a lot, the society did too."

But Edy Reja knows that the lost points against Inter, Juve, and Udinese, may have ended the season the way it did and Reja still feels regret. "Yes we regret how those games went. If you truly look at the results of the competition, maybe even a point would have been good against Inter, Juve, or Udinese. But now we cannot but think about the games against Genoa and Lecce and the grabbing of the six points. Then we will see where we end up in the league, and it does not depend on us. I hope Chievo and Catania will play to their full potential against Udinese and Roma."

The end of Reja's conference was to discuss the expected whistles from laziali in the game tomorrow. "The whistles are not something new, they even whistled when we were second in the league ! But I guess the fans have the right to express their feelings. I just hope that they will look at this season well, and even if we fail to get Champions League Qualification, and get a Europa League spot, this would still be a good season. Everyone will come to recognize this and appreciate the effort of the team." concluded Edy Reja.
