Edy Reja spoke to Sky about the important three points grabbed by Lazio against Genoa.

"We were greatly disappointed last week, but we never lost hope" said Reja.

It was obvious to all who watched the game that the team tranformed in the second half. And Edy Reja shared the secret:
"We started badly, and at half time I spoke to the players and I told them that if we continue playing like this, we are risking throwing a great season. They reacted well and I saw their commitment to get a result. I have to congratulate them." continued the tactician.

But now with Lazio winning, the biancoceleste have to pray for a slip for Udinese and Roma to stand a chance in the race for the 4th place.

"Today we did our duty, and now the rest is not in our hands. We now have 63 points and garaunteed a place in Europa League at least. And tomorrow we will be watching Catania playing the giallorossi and Udinese and Chievo. I don't like to wish teams losing, but if results turn into our favor, I would be very happy. I believe they will give their best, I have firm belief in the sporting aspects of those teams." said Reja.

Reja then spoke about the challenge against Lecce: "The game next Sunday will be difficult. Lecce are struggling to stay in Serie A, but we must start from where ended in the second half today."

The journalists then asked Reja about the boos from the biancoceleste fans during the game and about his renewal: "The whistles and boos won't affect my decision for renewal. I will be speaking with Mr. Lotito at the end of the season. I don't like talking about contracts during the season, it always jinxes me. All this season I have tried to avoid this topic, but the press brought it up, and look what happened to Lazio, we were jinxed in the last games." joked Reja.

Then Reja took a more serious answer: "I can only thank the fans. They have stood behind the team and supported us. Sometimes we get applause, other times whistles. It was a difficult season for the fans when sometimes we are at the top, and another day is a total disappointment. But I am ok with that, I used to get whistles at Napoli, but then again I get greeted with affection. One has to be honest, the team did a good season and we deserve all our 63 points !"
