Unlike Edy Reja who does not believe that Milan have the motive to win, Lazio President Claudio Lotito and midfielder Cristian Brocchi think the opposite.
Speaking to Sky, Lotito declared that he expects maximum commitment from the rossoneri. "Milan have always honored their commitments, and I am sure they will do so also at this time" said Lotito who also declared that he still believes his Lazio can get the 4th position.
Joining the chorus of hopefuls is Cristian Brocchi, the former Milan player. Speaking to Lazio Style Radio, Brocchi said: "The fact that our qualification also depends on the result of Milan and Udinese gives me hope, because I am convinced that Milan will give their best. I have spent 7 years in Milan, and the team has a winning mentality. It is part of their DNA and they will go to Udine to win. With that said, one cannot deny that Udinese will have a bigger motivation to achieve a result."
Brocchi then spoke about the change of culture in Italian sports. "When you see Palermo beating Sampdoria and Catania beating Roma, you learn that something is changing, nothing is taken for granted anymore, and the culture of determination and achieving the impossible is gaining ground."
Brocchi then finally gave his opinion about Lazio's season: "No one can say we had a bad season, even if we don't get the 4th place, and we end up 5th, people should know that we had a good season. This will serve as a starting point for next season, but of course we will give it one final shot at the champions league qualification, to achieve a result against all the odds, especially against the media who have stood against us this season." concludes Brocchi.
