Young Boy's left-midfielder Senad Lulic has welcomed a move to Rome. The Bosnian international who has spent the last eight years plying his trade in Switzerland told the press that he would love to be a part of the set up at Lazio.
"I know there are negotiations with Lazio, as my manager is in contact with both clubs, so these are important days. I hope the talks can be concluded as soon as possible, as I too am waiting for news. It’s like a dream."
Little indication has been given as to how advanced the negotiations are and there has been no official word from either Young Boys or SS Lazio as to how the discussions are progressing. However, it does seem that Lulic can be added to Lorik Cana as being a certain target.
Senad Lulic was instrumental in giving Tottenham Hotspurs serious problems in Champion's League qualifying this season. In the first leg, he had hit the post and scored in the opening five minutes and continued to torment the English side throughout. Similarly, Lulic has posed problems for defenders in the Swiss league, scoring six goals in 27 appearances.
Obvious comparisons have been drawn to Aleksandar Kolarov as both are of similar age, have dangerous left feet and combine attacking prowess with decent defensive abilities; Lulic can also play as a left-back and has tended to play in that position for the national side.
It remains to be seen if he makes the move but with the player seemingly enthused, Laziali may soon have a new talent to get excited about.
