  24/05/2011: Rafinha to replace Lichtsteiner?
email print
Lichtsteiner shocked Lazio fans when he admitted that he wants to move to a bigger club last week. The Swiss defender has a 12 million Euro buy-out clause in his contract and both Manchester City and Juventus are willing to part with that amount to bring the player from Lazio.

After reports that Lazio were tracking Criscito to fill the vacant left back role it has emerged that they are also interested in fellow Genoa defender Rafinha as a replacemnet should Lichtsteiner leave. Reja apparently has given the OK, Rafinha fits the desired requirements. Genoa are interested in a few Lazio players who could be inserted into any deal such as Foggia and Diakite. Lazio president Lotito has long had a good relationship with Genoa's Preziosi.

Palermo's Mattia Cassani is another option.

We've missed good crosses coming from Lichtsteiner's side but I'd hate to see him going, especially to Juve! Especially as I can't see Lotito securing the Rafinha or Cassani deal. Let's cross our fingers and hope for the best...
