10/06/2011: Lotito: Mauri not for sale, Lichtsteiner ? We are negotiating...

Claudio Lotito spoke to Sky Sport 24 about the rumors surrounding Mauri and Lichtsteiner. Lotito admitted that Juve are negotiating for Lichtsteiner but laughed off the reports that the negotiations have been concluded.

Asked whether the reports of Lichsteiner concluding a move to Juve, Lotito was sarcastic:

"I can only laugh when I hear such reports, I am the only one who has the power to sign the transfer, and there is nothing yet. Yes we are negotiating with Juve, but nothing has been concluded." said Lotito.

Then Lotito also insisted that to Lazio, Stephan was not tagged for sale and he still hopes to reach an agreement in the benefit of Lazio and Stephan.

"Remember that we did not place Stephan on the market. We have received requests from a couple of companies, and there is a buyout clause that allows the player to free himself from his contract. Now let us wait to evaluate all the offers, as it is not our aim to strangle and keep the player against his will." said Lotito.

When confronted that Marco Lichtsteiner has said that Stephan to Juve was a done deal, Lotito said:

"I have not spoken to him, and they cannot sign with anyone before talking to us. I have a good relationship with Lichtsteiner, and the lad has always behaved properly with us, and so did we. We have mutual respect and consideration for the benefits of each other. So from our side, we will try to grant him what he is requesting in the light of the contract we have with him, and our ability to find suitable alternatives."

Lotito was then questioned about the rumors surrounding Mauri and Lotito denied any will to sell the player.

"We as Lazio did not receive any inquiries about Mauri from Juve, Inter, or Fiorentina. We have a good relationship with Mauri and we never thought of selling him." concluded Lotito.
