13/06/2011: Muslera: "I have chosen Galatasaray"

La Repubblica are reporting this morning that Fernando Muslera has agreed on a move to Turkish club Galatasaray. There is no confirmation of a deal yet as Lazio fans await to see if Lorik Cana moves in the opposite direction.

Muslera appears to be happy with the move:

"I will go to Galatasaray in search of more success. I had other offers from Spain but I chose Galatasaray because they did the most to show that they understand and appreciate me."

A five year deal is said to be on the cards for the Uruguayan goalkeeper. Federico Marchetti is the favourite to replace Muslera; he will cost 5.2 million which can be paid in three installments. His agent awaits a phonecall from Lotito.
