15/06/2011: Lotito: "Floccari is not on the market"
email print
Lazio president Claudio Lotito was in a bullish mood this morning as he was short and sweet with Corriere dello Sport as they tried to find out more about Lazio's mercato. Apparently the president has made it quite clear that he does not want to discuss transfers but he did have the following to say:

"Lichtsteiner is a great guy, if he wants to leave, the company will not hold him back, his release clause is 12 million euro and he can be put on the market whenever he wants, so long as we get money from another company, he can go. Once his release clause is met, we will not hold him back. After all, this is what has already happened with Kolarov."

Lotito also admitted that Silvestre is on his radar and denied that Floccari was Parma-bound:

"We are talking to many teams, Silvestre has our attention. Floccari to Parma? He is not on the market and if he were to become available, we would have to find a new striker and that makes matters complicated."

The comments contradict reports from other sources that Lotito is chasing Panathanaikos forward Djibril Cisse.
