16/06/2011: Still no agreement regarding Lichtsteiner according to Tare
email print
Tare assures that Lichtsteiner still is a Lazio player as more and more names pop up as potential successors at the Biancocelesti.

Various websites state that Lichtsteiner is as close to becoming a new Juventus player as anybody could be. But to Tare says: "Stephan Lichtsteiner to Juventus? I can't say anything on this topic, all I can say is that there is no deal. Right now he is still a Lazio player."

Despite this comment it seems likely that Lichtsteiner very soon will be announced as a new Juventus player. This will with no doubt leave a huge hole in Lazio's defence, and the Italian media are very energetic in rumoring new players to this position.

The warmest name is Abdoulaye Konko, right-back at Genoa. According to the deal with Konko will be closed as soon as Lichtsteiner's transfer to Juve is at place. His agent tells Radio Mana Mana today: "The meeting with Lazio is tomorrow in Rome. My client is very happy with this solution, we're very happy with Lazio. Now we hope to close it all very soon."

Konko is not the only player rumored to Lazio as Parma's right back Christian Zaccardo would love to play for the Biancocelesti: "Lazio is one of the seven best teams in Italy, to play at the Olimpico is an honour for every player."

Other names that has been mentioned, but seems slightely unlikely are Matias Silvestre from Catania and Aguirregaray from Penarol.
