email print
In this Monday's transfer talk from we discuss the updates on Floro Flores, Marchetti, and reveal the latest name linked to Lazio, Burlak.

Continuing on what reported yesterday on Marchetti, Il Corriere Dello Sport confirmed what was mentioned on our website and now talks are that Marchetti's deal is sealed.

According to the Corriere, the announcement will be made in July 1, and the player will arrive for his medical in July 7.

The details are that Lazio will be paying Marchetti's buyout clause (5.2 million euros) in three installments over three years amounting to 1.7 per year.

Cagliari have tried to undermine the deal by offering an exchange with AC Milan's Amelia, but both Amelia and Marchetti refused to move to the other side. Marchetti most probably chose to honor his word and probably wanted first team action, something garaunteed at Lazio after the fall out with Muslera.

According to Corriere, the other installments could include exchange of players with goal keeper Bizzarri heading to Cagliari, and a possible move to Berardi to the Sardinian club was mentioned in the Italian paper, with the deal going on through the football league and not directly between the clubs another indicator of the relationship between the two clubs.

As for Floro Flores, the player was interviewed by Radio Mana Mana after his name magically appeared as a possible target for Lazio who are close to finalizing the Cisse deal. Il Corriere reports that the player is kept as a back up in case the Cisse deal collapses. Reja already knows the player when he coached him at Napoli.

speaking to Radio Mana Mana, Floro Flores practically threw himself at Lazio:

"It is an honor if Lazio are interested, I would love to play again under Reja and relive the Napoli moments we had. But I don't have any details as my agent did not inform me of anything, he does not like to give details when the negotiations are not close to an end so at this moment, I cannot give any indications. But Lazio would be an honor, they are a great team, they have great fans, the fact that I am linked with them shows that I have done well recently."

Moreover, Floro Flores did not seem phased from the possible competition with the likes of Klose, Cisse, Zarate, Rocchi and even Sculli and Floccari.

"I will fight for a starting spot, this is the case for any player in any team, playing alongside stars like Klose, Cisse, Floccari and Zarate would be incredible, I just have to work hard and win the confidence of the coach." concluded Floro Flores.

Finally Il Corriere reported today that there is an interest from Lazio in Russian 21 year old Taras Burlak, a defender who plays for Locomotiv Moscow.

Burlak's agent, Sergei Pushkin, said that many players are interested in his client, in Italy and all over Europe. The player's contract expires in 2013 and the player does not seem willing to renew his contract and despite interest from local teams in Russia, the player would fancy a move to a foreign team.
