According to Sporting Braga official website, Tommaso Berni, the Lazio 2nd goalkeeper is the new Sporting Braga goalkeeper, after signing a contract valid for 2 (two) years.
Berni started his career at Inter Milan and played for Primavera. He spent 2 years in England playing for Wimbledon, before he joined Ternana of Serie B in summer 2003. Tommaso Berni joined Lazio in June 2006 as Ternana relegated to Serie C1. Right before the January transfer window closed, Lazio bought his full ownership for €1.5 million from Ternana, as Lazio seek for first and second goalkeeper due to Angelo Peruzzi set to leave, and Marco Ballotta becoming older. He signed a contract with Lazio, which last until 30 June 2011 (today).
Berni has arrived at Sporting Braga, Europa League finalists season 2010-11, of which the former Lazio player Fernando Couto is their Sporting Director. He has officially started his adventure in Portugal today.
On this occasion came the first statement of Tommaso Berni: "I am very happy, this is a new experience. I've played in England a few years ago and now I come to Portugal with great expectations. I really want to play and prove my worth. Braga is an important team ".
Good Luck Tommaso !!
