 Lotito: "We must have a reference to Rome on our shirts"
Lazio president Claudio Lotito takes a swipe at Roma for their use of Roman symbols and declares that Lazio must have a symbol on their shirts.
Lotito told reporters: "The wolf of Romulus and Remus is the symbol of Rome, not Roma. Let's say the original symbol of theirs was not the wolf of Romulus and Remus but a very different wolf. We want to play the role of principal, which Roma plays unfairly with that symbol, as we have all the rights being the first team of Rome. We have to emphasize this by having a certain historical symbol of Rome on our shirts".
In addition to the symbol, Lotito has also expressed his desire to have "S.S.Lazio, la prima squadra della Capitale" written on the shirts.
