05/07/2011: Lotito: "Market is not over"

Lazio president Claudio Lotito was interviewed today by Sky and answered questions on Cisse, Zarate and the FIGC's decision to allow clubs to sign 2 non-EU players. "There is still time for a few days of finishing touches. Cisse? What will be will be. I speak with facts and filed contracts". When asked about Zarate, who has been linked with Atletico Madrid lately to replace Sergio Aguero, Lotito repllied: "He is not on the market. It is clear though if an important offer came in we would evaluate it, just like Lichtsteiner, who was not for sale but asked to leave".
Finally Lotito commented on the FIGC's decision to allow clubs to sign 2 non-EU players per season: "The market is not over for Lazio. The possibility of registering a second player gives us the opportunity to explore other operations".
