Amidst the increasing rumours about a potential move for Mauro Zarate to Atletico Madrid, Guiseppe Bozzo his agent spoke to Radio Six and denied any meetings with Atletico regarding the player.

Speaking to Radio Six, Bozzo said:

"It is true I met with Atletico Madrid, but we did not discuss Mauro. Then again, Zarate is not even on the market and did not ask to be transfered. But do I always get question how much my client costs ? Of course I do, presidents like to do this to keep reference." said Bozzo.

Then Bozzo continued on Zarate, "He has a considerable price, and his tag is between 20 to 25 million euros, and thus not any club can buy him, only clubs with lots of money making him difficult to sell, but you never know in this world of football."

Bozzo was asked if Manchester City could pay such an amount and he said: "Zarate likes Manchester City, but I am not sure if he is on their shopping list, but again these scenarios are all hypothetical, as it stands now, the player is not for sale. But Lotito is a person who is not very hard to deal with, the man made an investment and he needs to maintain it. For the right price, everything becomes possible."

Finally Bozzo reiterated that his client his happy now and looking forward for next season.

"Mauro is happy and this coming season is a season of revival, he needs to make his mark in the football scene. And I can tell you that Reja did a good job, for Zarate to maintain his price tag, it means the coach did a good job, and as far as I know there is no friction between Zarate and Reja." concluded Bozzo.

Bozzo then took a minute to express his relief for the Marchetti deal:

"It was a very difficult task to bring him to Lazio. It tired me physically and mentally. What is important is that everything went well and Marchetti is happy. He comes to a great squad, and most importantly he will be playing. Last year was hard on him."
