08/07/2011: Cisse tells Diakite': "I'm Coming"
email print

La Repubblica are reporting that the Djibril Cisse saga is about to end, claiming that the French forward will fly into Rome on Sunday and will undergo a medical on Monday before venturing north for Auronzo di Cadore.

The Italian newspaper believe that the Panathanaikos striker delivered the news to his compatriot and Lazio centre-back, Mobido Diakite'. In a press conference yesterday, Edy Reja spoke of "The Beast", as Cisse is soon to be affectionately known as, in highly complimentary terms and hinted at linking the forward up with Miroslav Klose.

Both coach and president have claimed that Cisse will not be the end of the mercato for Lazio and reports are rapidly emerging that Marius Stankevicius is about to join from recently relegated Sampdoria with La Repubblica going as far as to say he will hold his medical with Cisse on Monday. Claudio Lotito and Director of Sport Igli Tare are in Milan today to discuss transfers.
