09/07/2011: Auronzo di Cadore: Day Three
|

|
Day three at Auronzo and this new Lazio side was presented to the locality in what has now become a regular love-in between the association and the people of Auronzo.
The councillor for tourism was on hand to lavish praise on this cooperation:
"After winning the Italian cup in the first season, the Supercup in the second season and fifith spot last season, we hope Lazio continues to go on like this."
Edy Reja reciprocated the councillor's thoughts:
"This is the second year I have participated in the retreat and I have to congratulate the whole organisational process because we really have had no problems. I thank the mayor for having good people. We are doing great here and its true that this is a factor in our positive results."
Stefano De Martino also conducted a short speech where he discussed opening up the society to the public, pointing out that 70% of last season's points tally came at the Olimpico under supportive plans and he thanked the players for their hard work in achieving what he considered to be a crucial result; a spot in Europe.
At this, a series of boos were to be heard. Apparently Cristian Brocchi was behind the practical joke.
The players were introduced to rapturous applause with Tommaso Rocchi getting an inredible welcome. Other players to be appluaded heavily were Zarate, Hernanes, Dias and new signings, Klose, Marchetti and Cana who was intriguingly announced as a defender.
With regards to the new acquisitions, Cittaceleste have noted Lorik Cana's quick settling in Rome. He is taking the time to speak with fans and sign autographs. Marchetti is also getting mobbed with Lazio fans demanding he makes his way back to the Azzurri in biancoceleste. Not looking too happy is Klose, who is a touch shy and although he is making friends quickly within the team, he could be more at ease with the tifosi. In general, the fans have been exemplary in their behaviour with the constantly growing fan count.
On the field of play, a friendly match was organised where Floccari was the star of the show banging in the only two goals in the affair. It may not be enough to cause a rethink on the market strategy but there were a selectnumber of fans who showed their displeasure at his proposed sale with banners. Other important points to note is that Radu was played at left-back and Konko could not feature with a slight injury which has raised concerns that he may be the weakest of the bunch at this moment in time in terms of fitness at least.
