According to La Repubblica, another attacker is on the Lazio wish list. The 19-year old striker Joel Campbell is currently representing Costa Rica in Copa America, where he has played all three games of the tournament, netting one goal in the 2-0 win against Bolivia. The player’s agent, Gianluca Marini, told reporters he is in contact with the Lazio management and that the player could arrive if Lazio manage to make room by offloading some other players.

Campbell has represented his country at many different levels, including the 2011 U-20 CONCAFAF championships where he became the tournament’s top scorer with six goals. He made his official debut for Costa Rica on the 5th of July this year and he scored one goal in his first game in the Gold Cup.

Also Roma and Juventus have been mentioned as possible future destinations for the youngster, who has caught the attention of many clubs after pleasing displays in the Gold Cup and Copa America. At club level he represents Puntarese FC in Costa Rica and has a contract expiring in January 2012.
