12/07/2011: Auronzo di Cadore: Day Six
email print
There are three flights to Venice later tonight and reporters are ready and waiting to find Djibril Cisse who was the centre of attention today when he landed in Rome to become a Laziale. Yesterday's signing, Marius Stankevicius was in training today so there is a general expectancy that Cisse will arrive in Auronzo late tonight or in the early hours of the morning.

As Djibril got off the plane, the players were lifting what must have felt like Djibril Cisse in the gym. Each morning is devoted to physical conditioning with weights playing a vital role in bringing the players back up to strength.

Things tend to liven up in the evening but even today, there is little to note. The players trained in sand for a while as they usually do before Reja once again split the guys into three groups. One group is asked to work on defense, another group to work on their attack while a third group plays a short practice match between themselves.

A larger game then took place to bring today's training to a close. The game was a rather drab affair and ended scoreless although Klose was a constant threat. Lulic, who has been plucked out as being almost too shy and quiet was also impressive today, looking more and more at home in biancoceleste with every day that passes. Here are the teams Reja tested:

The Red Team - Berardi, Stendardo, Biava, Radu, Konko, Ledesma, Cana, Sculli, Hernanes, Zarate, Rocchi.

The Sky Blue Team - Marchetti, Lulic, Dias, Diakite', Scaloni, Matuzalem, Bresciano, Mauri, Brocchi, Klose, Floccari.
