Miralem Pjanic, Milan Badelj, Panagiotis Kone and Marco Parolo are all believed to be vying for a place at Lazio according to Corriere dello Sport. They reckon Edy Reja is asking for a proper trequartista to play behind a striking partnership in a 4-3-1-2 rather than Hernanes who could be moved into midfield. These rumours persist despite the fact that coach Reja has already stated his desire to feature Hernanes in the trequartista role. Kone's agent has also told the media that the chances of his client moving to Rome is now slim to none.

Il Corriere dello Sport also believe Reja is in need of a centre-back. Gabriel Milito of Barcelona is now thought to be the frontrunner although Lazio have a plethora of individuals who can fill in at the back. Humberto Rever of Wolfsburg has also re-emerged as a candidate.

A more likely scenario is that Lazio will wave goodbye to quite a few players over the coming weeks. According to Radio Mana Mana, Riccardo Bonetto, a fringe player in the loosest possible sense of the word will finally depart Lazio by rescinding his contract this weekend. It has also been confirmed that Mantova have bought a 50% stake in Lorenzo Cinque, a highly promsing Primavera striker whose development has been plagued by injuries. He will now get his chance in what is effectively Serie C2. Also linked with a move away from Rome is Francelino Matuzalem who is attracting the attention of Lotito's favoured negotiating partners, Genoa.
