  27/07/2011: Lotito on Salerno Calcio

Claudio Lotito tells la Repubblica: "Salerno has no allegiance with Lazio. It's just like a child at an early age, it should be helped by their parents until they learn to walk alone".

The club, formerly Salernitana were taken over by Morgensten Ltd last week and have appointed Marco Mezzaroma, son-in-law of Lotito, as president.

Lotito went on, "We aim to win Serie D which is where we set our goal. We remain with our feet on the ground. Until 20 days ago it was not possible to have a team in Serie A and one in Serie D, today it is not. Leave Lazio? Today these questions do not make sense. I'm not a seer, I will do everything in my power to try and reach our goals here at Salerno".

Lotito went on to suggest that the plan is to create a 'Formello' in Salerno. "The first team has to train with the youth and vice versa. We must build a sports town that brings together all our needs. It will be essential for the future of the club".
