21/08/2011: Lazio linked with Shaun Wright-Phillips
email print
According to the English newspaper The Sun, Lazio are interested in Manchester City player Shaun Wright Phillips. Premier League team Bolton believe that they are close to a £2.5 million deal, but Lazio, Stoke, Wigan and Paris Saint-Germain are trying to hijack his switch to Reebok Stadium.

Wright-Phillips enters the last year of his contract at Manchester City and with the arrival of Sergio Aguero, he might find first team opportunities very limited. Citizens boss Roberto Mancini reportedly told Phillips that he can stay at the club but must accept that his playing time will be reduced. The 29 year-old player seems to be reluctant to do that and is looking to move on from City. Lazio looks to be one of his potential destinations.
