Announcement on the official league website states

L'Assocalciatori notes the negative response to the latest proposal of the League, and thus confirms its intention not to take to the field on the first day of the championship." This proclamation by the AIC postponed the start of Serie A TIM.

Previously, the President of AIC Tommasi had proposed to sign a contract expiring on June 30, 2012 and to start the season after which immediately begin discussing a new agreement.
The President of the League Cup Maurizio Beretta, when asked, insisted with anxiety: "It is not clear why we should sign an agreement based on a verdict by Campana. On the other hand, from our standpoint the situation is clear: we we can sign an agreement only if it contains the two point:  solidarity contribution and training separate from the team."
