01/09/2011: Bozzo: Zarate is the talent Moratti wanted

Mauro Zarate’s agent Bozzo spoke on probably the biggest transfer in Italy, the loan of the Argentinean to Inter, to Corriere dello Sport. He revealed the background: “Mauro has been in the sight of Inter for the past twenty days, but I didn’t want to announce it since president Lotito did not want to consider a loan move. But in the end he has made a step back and the transfer is completed. Moratti wanted a talent. We want to thank Lotito. Mauro is not just any player for Lazio as he is very attached to the team. But the loan deal was necessary, because there were no teams willing to pay 20 million at once. Then we found a solution. If a club is ready to pay so much for a loan, it means that the clubs wants the player.”

The agent then added that all parties involved win from the situation. “When ten days ago I presented the deal to Lotito he said no, but back then he was managing the rules”. To the question if the transfer was necessary the agent didn’t reply. Bozzo then continued on Lazio saying it is a great club and will do well without Zarate. Than the agent went on commenting the sms of Mauro Zarate to Moratti saying it was the spark the made it all happen. “Moratti was struck by the desire of Mauro”.
