Former Sporting Director who was in charge of transfers in the Cragnotti era joins the chorus and praises the new Lazio.

Governato who was also a player for Lazio in the 60s spoke to Radio 2 Erre about his past transfers and the era of Cragnotti: "Sergio was one of the best people I have ever known, he was a person with a winning mentality and he trusted those around him."

Governato was questioned about the year 2000 transfers who mostly flopped: "The best acquisition we made was Nedved, but credit goes to Zeman, we got a great player at such a low price, as for De La Pena and Mendieta we were convinced that they will do well but sadly they did not, maybe we had too many expections."

Finally Governato gave his opinion on the new Lazio and their chances for this season: "I think this team can fight for the top three positions in Serie A and qualify for the CL, it is a very good team with a very experienced coach."
