19/09/2011: Lotito: "With Klose and Cisse, this team has an advantage"
email print
Claudio Lotito, now free to speak since his CONI ban has expired, has voiced his opinion on yesterday's performance in interviews with Sky Sports and Corriere dello Sport:

"After a good first half, the power failed but these things can happen. The Championship is long and sometimes in the beginning, the big teams lose."

"This team will show in time if it is the best during my management. I don't think the team is too old as some say. We made conscious decisions on the market to find the right blend of experience and youthful freshness. The choices of Klose and Cisse which have been seen as dated will be important with their ability, both technically and professionally."

"We do not want to bandage the head before it is broken. After coming close to the Champion's League last season, we can see that results depend on many factors."

"Zarate asked to leave and we were happy to let him as we did with Floccari. I don't think the locker room has been damaged by the sales; we are very compact, determined and headstrong. We don't know what the season holds but with Klose and Cisse, this team has an advantage over last season but this does not mean anything. I hope this team can put together a good campaign as it deserves to obtain important results."

"The coach has been unfairly and unjustly criticised."
