  19/09/2011: Mauri works on fitness
email print
Stefano Mauri has revealed on Twitter that he is spending time in the gym and the swimming pool as he seeks to minimise the length of time he must spend on the sidelines:

"Hard work: I started the rehabilitation and treatment: the swimming pool and the gym... I cannot wait to return."

Reports on how long Mauri is set to be injured has varied signifcantly with LazioLand earlier reporting that he is set to be out for a month. However, the current rate of progress is encouraging and he may return to action earlier than expected. It is a waiting game fans would rather not play with many critics noting the significance of his absence in the home defeat to Genoa on Sunday.
