25/09/2011: Fabio Liverani: "Cragnotti chose me"

The former Lazio player Fabio Liverani spoke to Radio six about Lazio. The midfielder saw three administrations while he was with the Baincoceleste. “Cragnotti chose me, but I have not chosen Lotito. With Lotito I didn’t have the ability to continue for several reasons”. Still Liverani has good words for the Lazio fans: “I have great respect of them, my relationship with the Lazio fans was from love and hate. I think I will not see for a long time a man, despite being romanista, who will give everything for the Lazio shirt and for five years to prove he is a real professional and a real person”.

Liverani then commented on the start of the season: “It’s normal the game with Genoa has led to problems, that were there last year, the relationship between Reja and the public. In this difficult time I believe the best approach has a piece of all: the fans toward the club and team and coach to the fans”.

“On paper I think Lazio is stronger than Palermo – continued Liverani – the team is very good with players with international experience like Cisse and Klose and young players like Lulic. I think they have what it takes to play for the first three places. Palermo team is still being built and they will need time to mature”.

“Hernanes is a great player that can be devastating. I think he should be helped more by his teammates, to be served quickly as it is the only way he can attack the defenders and hurt the opponents” – added Liverani
