After the victory in Florence, Edy Reja gave his players three days of rest to help them recharge the batteries ahead of the derby in 11 days time. However, not everyone took the opportunity to rest. Libor Kozak decided to remain in Formello in order to maintain his optimal physical condition. The 22-year-old then took his time and spoke to Lazio Style Radio.

Kozak didn't recieve the call-up from Czech national team and admits his regret over the decision, "My national team will play versus Spain, and then against Lithuania, team of Marius Stankevičius. I feel disappointed that I won't play against him, I think it would be a good game between us", said Kozak. The striker faces a fight for his place not only in the national team, but in his club as well. However, he feels optimistic about his chances and is convinced that the opportunity to play will eventually arrive, "There are so many good players ahead of me. I know that, but I think my time will come. This year, we will play many games in Serie A and Europa League, so I will get my chance".

Asked about his team's chances this season, Kozak seemed very optimistic, "The season is long and the Champions League is still an achievable dream so I'm sure we will do well. I believe that we can win the Scudetto". Then, striker admitted that he feels comfortable playing against Fiorentina, who were defeated by Lazio 2-1 last weekend, "I have good memories of that game [In Artemio Franchi last season]. It was an extraordinary moment when I scored, I will remember it for the rest of my life. Even in the second leg against them I scored two goals".

Lastly, Kozak rued his missed chance in the Europa League game against Vaslui 3 weeks ago. He came off the bench in 67 minute and had a good chance to score from a header. Unfortunately, the ball hit the crossbar and the game finished 2-2, "I am angry about that episode. It was a very good chance and I feel very sorry to have missed it. A win in that game would have helped a lot for us, especially at this time".
