Speaking to Radio Mana Mana, Ex-Lazio legend Ousmane Dabo expressed his delight at a derby victory for Lazio:

"Lazio put together a great second half where Hernanes, Klose, Brocchi and Matuzalem have made the difference. I liked it. In the first half, you could see the mentality stemming from the last derbies, there was a lot of tension, but then things turned and when I saw them exit the locker room after the first half, I could see things were right again."

"I've won one as well with Behrami scoring in the last minute and I know what it means. As a spectator, you suffer more."

Dabo predicted great things for Lazio this season:

"Lazio are complete. If Milan and Inter fall short, Lazio will be alongside Napoli to take advantage."

Walter Sabatini, the transfer guru of Roma, who was previously at Lazio semi-congratulated Lazio on their win:

"They deserved to win, they have good players, who played a good game and they are a great team."

"It is very easy to gain affection by disassociating myself (from Lazio). I worked for Lazio and I am grateful to them for the period of time I spent there in my life. I do not think Roma fans would be happy with a man who denies his past."

Gianni Petrucci, the head of CONI whom President Lotito continues to have a spat with congratulated Reja on the win, indicating that he was not prepared to give any credit to the Lazio president:

"If there is one winner in this derby, it is Edy Reja. He continues the tradition of Italian sport, he is a proper person, educated and never raises his voice. I am disappointed that a coach like him is consider incapable of leading a great team and of course, Lazio is a great team."

"Lotito? I do not speak about Lotito."

Pierpaolo Marino who worked with Edy Reja at Napoli told the media that he had already been in contact with his friend:

"I am happy for him. Less than an hour after the game, the phone rang and we rejoiced this victory together. Obviously not because I am a big Lazio fan but because I am a big fan of him. I toast this success that has made him happy."

Marino was also impressed by Cristian Brocchi and the way the ex-Milan midfielder praised Reja

"That was a big honour (for Reja). Reja had obviously not felt that emotion and I told you myself. He was touched by it."
