05/11/2011: Reja aims high: "Lazio can win any game"

"We are second in the standings now and I believe we have not given our best yet. This team can still improve to exploit its full potential." said Reja in his conference.

"Tomorrow I am expecting a good result. We need to win for Gabrielle Sandri and also to give joy and continuity of form to our fans. But it will not be easy as Parma defend with 6 players when the opponent has the ball and thus it will not be easy to find spaces, but we must take advantage of our opportunities. I believe this Lazio can win any game." continued Edy.

Then Reja discussed the performances of his players and the squad situation with all the injuries.

"Klose was a little tired so I replaced him against Cagliari and I am hoping tomorrow that he gives his best tomorrow, I spoke to him and he says he is feeling great. He is very important to us, and can score from the least dangerous of chances." said the tactician.

Then Reja continued on Cisse: "It is true that Cisse did not score, but he is playing on the sides and while I wish he would score, it is not really an issue. He is a proven goal scorer, and he is doing very well with all the assists he is giving. He feels very comfortable when he plays with Klose, they now know each other very well. And tomorrow it will be another chance for them to play with Hernanes behind them."

Continuing on Hernanes, Reja said: "I expect a great game from him, he has recovered, but only has a small swell on his ankle."

Then Reja moved on the defense: "Biava is still injured and Stankevicius only returned yesterday to training, Konko and Diakite along with Dias and Radu are ready. Marchetti is doing great too. He has excellent reflex and I think only Buffon and Handanovic have such characteristics he is one of our strongest points."

Reja then spoke of the midfield which will be missing Mauri: "Gonzalez wants to play but he is not ready yet. Mauri might not return before March. But we will see if we have to strengthen the team in January to replace Mauri, so far we have discovered Lulic who can play in his position and then once Gonzalez is back, he will also give us another push."

Finally a much needed rest after the Parma game as the team will rest for four days and will meet again on Thursday for training. "We have a tough sequence of events coming until December. We need to rest well before preparing well. We will not be playing any friendlies and I am looking forward to get back all the injured players to make the best of this group.."
