  12/11/2011: “Milan, Juventus…and Lazio”
email print
After having scored his first goal in the Brazilian national team, in the 2-0 victory over Gabon in a friendly on Friday, Hernanes was asked about the possibilities to win trophies with his current club now that Lazio lies second in the league, tied with Udinese at 21 points at the top of the table.

The Prophet, as the player is called, speculated about the current situation and stated: “Milan and Juventus are everyone’s favourites. This is easy to understand as Milan are the reigning champions with important players such as Robinho and a recovering Pato in their team. Juventus have added plenty of quality and fire-power for this season and have shown to be ready to battle for the silverware straight away. Both teams are at the top of the table and it will be tough to challenge these two teams, but I think Lazio is as good as they are. With the addition of Klose, Cisse and Marchetti we have shown we have the quality needed to challenge anyone this season.”

After a slow start the attacking midfielder has had some good games recently and have scored three goals so far, leading to head coach Mano Menezes calling the player up for the second consecutive national team gathering.
