13/11/2011: Lotito officially suspended by FIGC
email print

The Lazio president has been suspended by FIGC. The same suspension has been issued to Fiorentina's Della Valle and the others.

Lotito will fight back and appeal as his lawyer Gentile announced that the article 22 which Lotito has been suspended upon, violates the Italian constitution which states in article 27 that the defendant is innocent until the final sentence.

But until the decision is reversed, Lotito will not be able to attend any of the League and Football Association meetings. This will also prevent him from signing anything in the name of Lazio and will prevent negotiating and doing transfers in the name of the club.

Marco Moschini, Lazio's managing director, will be filling the shoes of the Lazio patron until a final decision is made.
