26/11/2011: Post Match Comments: Gonzalez and Hernanes

Alvaro Gonzalez and Anderson Hernanes believe that Lazio should have gotten at least a point tonight.

Speaking to Mediaset, Hernanes was pleased with the team's performance:

"If you forget about the result, we had a good game today. Juve in one counter attack decided the result of the game. We could have done better, but we leave the field with our heads held high. We have matured this season and despite being a goal down, we kept playing in the same intensity. At the start of the second half we did well too, but then Juve took over the possession."

Asked about the mystery of home games in which Lazio is failing to get results, Hernanes had no answer: "I don't think there is a specific reason, but you can notice that teams wait for us to attack and try to play the counter. But we played well tonight, our team is strong and we will be fighting for top places come the end of the season."

Alvaro Gonzalez was a bit more bitter: "We deserved a goal for our chances in the second half. We tried hard but we could not get the equalizer. Before the game we knew it would be difficult, but we wanted to get the win. Had we been able to score in the beginning of the second half, we would have done well."

Alvaro Gonzalez is adamant though to move on: "We must not beat ourselves, the season is long and now we have a very important game against Vaslui on Thursday, we must begin to prepare."
