"The Macedonian centre-forward is one of Serie A's more distinguished performers. A youth product at FK Belasica, Pandev quickly caught the attention of Inter Milan and signed for them in 2001. Having failed to make any impact at the San Siro, he went on loan to Spezia where he showed promise before being sent to Ancona where he was the shining light in a miserable league campaign. His creativity attracted Lazio who eventually acquired him permanently in 2004. A six-year spell with the Romans proved fruitful, with a Coppa Italia win and two goals against Real Madrid in the Champions League being particular highlights. Now back at Inter after a tumultuous end to his relationship with President Lotito, Goran seeks to emulate the feats of his compatriot, Darko Pancev."
